Presenting

I always wanted to be a presenter…

When I was a little girl, I used to record radio shows on my tape recorder (age spoiler alert!) under the name of Jinker Jones. I interviewed guests (usually my younger brother), told funny stories - I was hugely enamoured with Kenny Everett on Radio 2 in those days - and read made up news bulletins. I wish those tapes still existed!

When I finally ended up presenting for real, it was like a dream come true. Whether it’s on the radio or to camera, in the studio or doing a full day in a heatwave in Monaco or a live show from a bivouac in the wilds of Mauritania, I still get the magical feeling I did when I was nine.

Only now, after a few cocktails on the beach some years ago and thanks to my hilarious girlfriends, my new presenting alter ego is June Lagoon…

If you want someone who channels Jinker and June and the fun and passion they encapsulate - I’m your woman!
